Day Three - Explore Maine
After breakfast, visit Kennebunkport, one of Maine's coastal jewels and the summer home to many of America's rich and famous. Adorned with stately homes, Kennebunkport seems to wait breathlessly for its captains to return from sea. Later, we head west through the beautiful Lakes Region of Maine and into New Hampshire where the massive peaks of the White Mountain range rise in all their splendor. Mount Washington, the highest mountain on the eastern seaboard is capped with snow throughout most of the year, and its fierce climate has seen the highest recorded winds in the world - up to 220 mph. One of New Hampshire's loveliest towns, Wolfeboro, is our next stop. Enjoy strolling this beautiful town. Later this afternoon, we check into our New Hampshire hotel for the next two nights. (Breakfast)

Day Four - New Hampshire Touring
Today we take an unforgettable ride to the top of Mount Washington aboard the incredible Mount Washington Cog Railway for an unparalleled view of the White Mountains. An engineering marvel for its time in 1896, the Mount Washington Cog Railway travels over some of the steepest railway tracks in the world. Later we visit historic Mount Washington Hotel, a grand masterpiece of Spanish Renaissance architecture. We'll pass through Franconia Notch where the "Old Man of the Mountain," a rock formation whose profile has long been New Hampshire's state symbol, once stood. We'll then travel along the scenic Kancamagus Highway and enjoy the beautiful autumn foliage before returning to our hotel. (Breakfast and dinner)

This morning we set out along the scenic country roads of New Hampshire and into Vermont, passing through quaint villages where the steeples of white clapboard churches rise above the colorful trees. Visit Quechee Gorge, "Vermont's Little Grand Canyon" and enjoy the beautiful vistas and waterfalls before arriving in at our hotel for the evening where we'll gather with our fellow companions for dinner this evening. (Breakfast and dinner)

Day Six - Newport, Rhode Island
Our day begins with breakfast before traveling through Massachusetts to Newport, Rhode Island. This fascinating seaport is famous not only for its maritime history, but for the fabulous summer homes built there during America's glamorous "Gilded Age." We'll visit the Vanderbilt's Breakers Mansion, one of Newport's grandest summer "cottages" and a symbol of the Vanderbilt family's social and financial preeminence in turn- of-the-century America. Take time to sightsee along Ten Mile Drive before heading to the fabled Massachusetts peninsula, Cape Cod, and your oceanfront hotel for the next two nights. Enjoy dinner with your travel companions tonight at a local restaurant. (Breakfast)
