This tour is not offered this year. A variety of other spectacular Canadian Rockies by rail tours are currently available for travel.
Few places on earth are more glorious than the Canadian Rockies. Scenic splendour awaits literally with each passing mile, from stunning Lake Louise, the magnificent Icefields Parkway and seldom-visited Moraine Lake, truly the jewel in the Crown of Canadian Rockies sights. In Fall, there is time to savor the famed Hot Springs at Banff, linger over lunch alongside the lovely Bow River or to enjoy the azure-blue waters of Peyto Lake. In fact, one of the few places in North America that we know that rivals the Canadian Rockies for sheer visual splendour is magnificently situated Vancouver, with its shimmering harbor, lovely parks and snow-capped mountains. Accordingly, any holiday that combines both of these enchanting places, in one sublimely comfortable and leisurely holiday, at the ideal time of the year, is a worthy use of time and has inspired our Fall Colors in the Canadian Rockies program.
This is an elegant, nostalgic and indulgent holiday, combining intelligent and comprehensive sightseeing with nice hotel stays, memorable dining, a relaxed pace and, most notably, the last great train in the world, all at prices that are most sensible.
We begin with low-cost air travel from all major US cities to Calgary and to start on the right note, have included three wonderful nights in Banff with complete sightseeing including Sulphur Mountain, Lake Louise and an exclusive unique to us, staggeringly beautiful Moraine Lake. Dinner one evening is at Le Beaujolais, a favorite of the Royal Family overlooking the Bow River in Banff village. We then travel up the Icefields Parkway to Jasper to board the last great train in the world, the legendary 'Canadian' with its vista-dome cars, comfortable Pullman sleeping cars, iconic 'Park' Observation cars and the last great dining cars in North America. Our guests enjoy First Class sleeping car travel including meals on this passage to Vancouver, timed for the travel through the Rockies in daylight for the best viewing! Lovely views also await in Vancouver with an overnight stay at the superb Hyatt Regency Hotel along with sightseeing and a special farewell dinner.
With great scenery, fine hotels, comphrehensive sightseeing and a train without equal, this one-time holiday will sell out quickly and prompt reservations are encouraged to avoid disappointment.
