Day 1- Arrive Toronto, Canada’s Largest City
As the arts, entertainment and cultural centre of Canada, Toronto offers visitors a wealth of memorable sights and experiences. You’ll be whisked from the airport in a shuttle bus to your hotel, in the heart of the city. Your first must-see is riding to the top of the world’s tallest free-standing structure, CN Tower for unparalleled views. Be sure to visit Eaton Centre for shopping and dining, Chinatown, Old Town Toronto and the city’s many fascinating ethnic markets. At night, Toronto comes alive with shows, clubs and professional sports.

Day 2 - Touring Toronto
Take advantage of your City Sightseeing Tour to see more of Toronto. Enjoy the sights, the unique shopping and the fine dining in this cosmopolitan city before you depart this evening at 10 p.m. from the main station, right across the street from your hotel. All Sleeper Touring Class passengers get a taste of VIA Rail’s premier service in their first class lounge at the station. On board, you’ll enjoy first-class accommodations with a comfortable sitting room by day that converts to upper and lower berths at night. Dining will also take you on a culinary adventure as you taste international cuisine, accompanied by exquisite wines from Canada, all complimentary for Sleeper Touring Class passengers. This class of service also gives you access to any of the lounges as well as to the Skyline car and Park car which offers impressive vistas and photo opportunities.
Day 3, 4 & 5 - VIA Rail Toronto to Vancouver
Your amazing journey will take you through five of Canada’s provinces: Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta and British Columbia. You’ll imagine yourself as one of the early pioneers making your way across the vast country, passing through mountain towns, towering forests, peaceful lakes and mighty rivers. You’ll spot elk, buffalo, eagles and other wildlife right at your window. At night, you’ll gaze at the sky and watch the stars come out. You’ll have an opportunity to stop in Winnipeg, Manitoba which was originally a fur trading post and a crossroads for many settlers. The downtown area features a network of tunnels and sky-walks that make it easy to visit Winnipeg Square, and other sights of interest. As we head further west, you’ll notice the changing terrain as the magnificent Canadian Rockies come into view.

Day 6 - Arrive Vancouver
The third largest city in Canada, Vancouver is well known for its majestic beauty as well as a friendly city to visit. When you arrive in the morning, leave your bags at the hotel and the day is yours to explore. Use the “Hop On, Hop Off” trolley tour to see the city’s many sights. Will you stroll through the cobbled streets of Gastown? Relax in Stanley Park or the Sunken Gardens? Visit the otters at the Vancouver Aquarium? No matter what you choose to do, you’ll sure to feel the excitement mounting as Vancouver will host the 2010 Winter Olympics! At night, dine in one of the city’s many ethnic restaurants.

Day 7 - Depart for home or extend your stay
Return to the airport on your own and be filled with memories of Canada that will stay etched in your mind forever. Or, extend your stay for a few more wonderful days in Vancouver, Victoria or Whistler.
