Train Information
Day 1 Vancouver
Arrive in Vancouver by 6pm and enjoy a wine-paired dinner tonight. Stay overnight at The Fairmont Hotel Vancouver in a deluxe room. (D)
Day 2 Vancouver to Kamloops
This morning you will be transferred to the Rocky Mountaineer Station by limousine. Travel onboard the Rocky Mountaineer in our luxurious GoldLeaf Themed Experiences Dome Coach from the coastal city of Vancouver to Kamloops, in the heart of British Columbia’s interior. Relax in the plush lounge area at the rear of the upper dome coach and watch the dramatic changes in scenery, from the lush green fields of the Fraser River valley, through forests and winding river canyons surrounded by the peaks of the Coast and Cascade mountains, to the desert-like environment of the interior. Highlights include the rushing waters of Hell’s Gate in the Fraser Canyon and the steep slopes and rock sheds along the Thompson River. Your day concludes as the Rocky Mountaineer travels along the shores of Kamloops Lake and into Kamloops. Overnight in Kamloops at the South Thompson Guest Ranch. (B, L, D)
Day 3 Kamloops to Vernon
After breakfast transfer by private motorcoach to the world-class golf resort Predator Ridge in Vernon to enjoy 18 holes.* Tonight's dinner will be at an exquisite local winery. Overnight at Predator Ridge Resort. (B, L, D)
Day 4 Golfing in Kelowna
Enjoy a round of golf at Harvest Golf Club*, a championship level course in Kelowna. Enjoy a wine-paired dinner at your hotel. Overnight at Predator Ridge Resort. (B, L, D)
Day 5 Vernon to Kamloops
Free day to explore the beautiful Okanagan Region. Private motorcoach to Kamloops in the late afternoon. Overnight at the South Thompson Guest Ranch. (B, D)
Day 6 Kamloops to Banff
Your First Passage to the West rail journey in our GoldLeaf Themed Experiences Dome Coach continues eastwards to the mighty Canadian Rockies and the province of Alberta. Once again you will see a spectacular array of scenery as you travel across ranchlands, along rocky lakeshores, over high mountain passes and through the remarkable tunnels that form part of the rich rail history of the Canadian Rockies. Today’s highlights include Craigellachie, where the last spike of the Canadian Pacific Railway was driven, the climb over Rogers Pass, the Kicking Horse Canyon, the Spiral Tunnels and, of course, the glaciers and snow-capped peaks of the Canadian Rockies. On arrival in Banff, you will be transferred to The Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel for an overnight stay in a deluxe room. (B, L, D)
Day 7 Banff
You will have a choice of activities today - a motorcoach and helicopter tour, or a round of golf at The Fairmont Banff Springs Golf Course. This evening enjoy a wine-paired dinner at your hotel. Overnight at The Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel. (B, D)
Day 8 Banff to Calgary
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel before a limousine transfer to Calgary. (B)
