Eastbound Itinerary - Victoria to Calgary

Day 1 Victoria Arrival
Arrive in Victoria and spend time exploring this scenic city on your own. Overnight in Victoria.

Day 2 Victoria Sightseeing
Enjoy a full-day gastronomy tour of the breathtaking Cowichan Valley on Vancouver Island. Tour to a winery, a cidery as well as a lavender farm and enjoy a three course gourmet lunch with wine pairings. Overnight in Victoria. (L)

Day 3 Victoria to Vancouver
Spend the morning exploring Victoria at your leisure. This afternoon indulge in a traditional Afternoon Tea at The Fairmont Empress Hotel, featuring gourmet sandwiches, special tea blends and freshly baked raisin scones served with clotted cream and strawberry preserves. This afternoon, depart for Vancouver by motorcoach and travel aboard BC Ferries through the picturesque Gulf Islands. Overnight in Vancouver.

Day 4 Vancouver
The day is at your leisure to explore this scenic city on your own. Tonight, experience the exclusive food and wine adventure hosted in the “Show Kitchen” at The Fairmont Hotel Vancouver’s 900 West Lounge. Enjoy a tasting menu that features unique wine pairings with each course, and learn as the Chefs discuss the wine and food while they prepare your dinner. Overnight in Vancouver. (D)

Day 5 Vancouver to Kamloops
Travel onboard the Rocky Mountaineer from the coastal city of Vancouver to Kamloops, in the heart of British Columbia’s interior. On today’s journey you will see dramatic changes in scenery, from the lush green fields of the Fraser River valley, through forests and winding river canyons surrounded by the peaks of the Coast and Cascade mountains, to the desert-like environment of the interior. Highlights include the rushing waters of Hell’s Gate in the Fraser Canyon and the steep slopes and rock sheds along the Thompson River. Your day concludes as the Rocky Mountaineer travels along the shores of Kamloops Lake and into Kamloops. Overnight in Kamloops. (B, L)

Day 6 Kamloops to Banff
Your journey continues eastwards to the mighty Canadian Rockies and the province of Alberta. Once again you will see a spectacular array of scenery as you travel across ranchlands, along rocky lakeshores, over high mountain passes and through the remarkable tunnels that form part of the rich rail history of the Canadian Rockies. Today’s highlights include Craigellachie, where the last spike of the Canadian Pacific Railway was driven, the climb over Rogers Pass, the Kicking Horse Canyon, the Spiral Tunnels and, of course, the glaciers and snow-capped peaks of the Canadian Rockies. Your rail journey ends in the resort town of Banff this evening. Overnight in Banff. (B, L)

Day 7 Banff
Enjoy a morning at leisure to explore the townsite of Banff. This evening be treated to a food and wine pairing experience at Authentically Local Wine Store at The Fairmont Banff Springs. It is here you will have the opportunity to sit back and enjoy extraordinary wines from Canada paired with food that compliment the wine’s flavour. Overnight in Banff. (D)

Day 8 Banff to Calgary
After check-out this morning, transfer by private limousine to Calgary International Airport, where your vacation concludes.

Westbound Itinerary - Calgary to Victoria

Day 1 Calgary to Banff
You will be met on arrival at Calgary International Airport and transferred to Banff by limousine. The rest of the day is at your leisure. Overnight in Banff.

Day 2 Banff
Enjoy a morning at leisure to explore the townsite of Banff. This evening be treated to a food and wine pairing experience at Authentically Local Wine Store at The Fairmont Banff Springs. Day 3 Banff to Kamloops
Travel onboard the Rocky Mountaineer from the mountain town of Banff to Kamloops, in the heart of British Columbia’s interior.
